App development
App development: one codebase for every platform
No team in between — you talk to the developer building your app.
Fixed price on a written scope (€60/h equivalent)
I build production apps with Flutter: iOS, Android, web and desktop from a single codebase. Fixed price on a written scope, no hourly billing.
When this fits#
- After a prototype sprint: the prototype has proven itself, now comes production readiness — load tests, hardening, store release, further modules.
- Without a prior sprint: you already know what should be built. Then development starts from a scoping workshop with the same mechanism: written scope, fixed price, acceptance criteria.
How a production build runs#
- Scoping: the scope is written down — functions as testable statements, exclusions explicit. On that basis the fixed price is set (computed at a €60/h equivalent, never open hourly).
- Weekly delivery: every week a usable intermediate result, not a status report. You see the state, not a description of the state.
- Written acceptance per delivery package, with a five business day review period.
- Handover: repository, documentation, CI, credentials — the code is yours.
Why Flutter is the right choice here#
- One codebase, four platforms: iOS, Android, web and desktop share most of the code. That halves maintenance effort and keeps the platforms functionally equal.
- Native performance and feel: compiled machine code instead of a web-view bridge, with its own rendering.
- A mature ecosystem: Flutter is maintained by Google and used by companies from BMW to Alibaba; Dart is permissively licensed (BSD).
- One stack for everything: interface, business logic and — with Dart on the server — even the backend in one language.
Reference: AstraCaB, Munich#
For AstraCaB GmbH in Munich I built the driver app of a transport platform in Flutter — in production use, with job handling, navigation and status updates for the driver's day. The platform's website runs on React, the backend on .NET/C# — production work inside the client's existing stack, not showcase style.
What belongs to it#
On request I build the backend with Serverpod alongside, take over deployment and operation, or deliver deliberately without operation if your IT takes over. After acceptance, the build-out (€480/day) covers further changes and maintenance & operations (€240/month) covers day-to-day running.
Price#
Fixed price per written scope. The scope determines the price, not the hour count of my calendar. Typical production builds after a sprint sit in the low five-figure range; the scope sheet names the amount before you agree. Under § 19 UStG no VAT is charged — the stated amount is the final price.
