Servers & interfaces

Backend development: what runs behind your application

Serverpod backends: data models, interfaces, authentication with roles and permissions, deployment, monitoring. Fixed price per written scope, weekly deliverable states, handover with repository and documentation.

Fixed price per written scope (€60/h equivalent)

I build backends with Serverpod — the open-source server framework for Dart: data models, interfaces, authentication with roles and permissions, deployment, monitoring. Fixed price per written scope, weekly deliverable states, handover with repository and documentation.

When this fits#

  • Alongside an app or web application: app development and web development need data storage — built from one hand, in one language, without a translation layer.
  • As maintenance of an existing system: you have a Serverpod backend and need extensions, migrations or an infrastructure refresh.
  • As interface work: your system needs to talk to another one — import, export, webhooks, file exchange.

What a Serverpod backend brings#

  • Type-safe interfaces: client and server share the models in Dart. A field change breaks at build time, not in production.
  • Authentication with roles: users, permissions, admin areas — by convention instead of hand-built sessions.
  • PostgreSQL with migrations: versioned schemas, traceable changes, seed data for test environments.
  • Caching, tasks, logging: background jobs and scheduled tasks are part of the framework, not a side system.
  • Operational readiness: deployment with Docker, TLS, a backup strategy and monitoring are part of my delivery, not an add-on.

What I don't offer#

"Getting it running somehow" without documentation; a fixed-price guarantee without a scope sheet; taking over foreign code without a joint assessment — I will tell you openly beforehand whether entering an existing codebase is worth it.

The process#

Stepwise scope, fixed price, weekly intermediate states, written acceptance, handover: the mechanism is described on /en/prozess and is the same for every offer. For the pricing logic: /en/preise.

After acceptance#

Build-out for further changes (€480/day), maintenance & operations (€240/month) for operation, updates and monitoring — or handover to your own team. The code is yours, runnable without me.
